What a brilliant, courtly man and thoughtful, thorough, patient teacher Karl-Heinz was. His sense of humor was kind and subtle, and he left his good influence on every student who was fortunate enough to take one of his classes. And his heart and mind were clearly forever in a mutual orbit with his equally brilliant and beautiful colleague and wife, Erika. It was an honor to learn from both of you, and you both will always be in my heart and mind and in those of everyone whose lives you have so gently and positively touched.

No one can prepare you for a loss, I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of our father and I deeply saddened by the loss of Karlheinz Boehm.
Who will not be forgotten his commitment to bring changes, improving and sustaining the living conditions of our people, particularly in areas of Eduction, Heath, Agricultural-Ecology and Gender Child care sectors. I wish to express my deepest sympathies and sadness go out to you and your family.May God give you the comfort and peace that you seek and may the soul of your loved one rest in peace and may our prayers help comfort you and hasten the journey of his soul to heaven.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the death of Karl-Heinz. He was a wonderful colleague, a distinguished astrophysicist, and a true friend. He and his students have contributed greatly to our understanding of the white dwarf stars and to many other areas of astrophysics. He will be missed enormously not only by his beloved wife, Erika, herself a very distinguished astrophysicist, and by their children and grandchildren, but also by his students and colleagues all over the world. He was very kind, understanding, and generous to me when I first met him as a young scientist, and he and Erika were extremely gracious hosts when I visited the university to give a talk. I have always remembered him warmly. The world will be a poorer place now that Karl-Heinz has gone.
