Karl Kabelac

My deepest sympathy goes out to Karl's family and friends. I enjoyed his friendship for so little time - only three and a half years - he was such a caring and interesting gentleman.

So sorry to hear about Karl. My prayers to the family.

Karl was a true gentleman and scholar, I was and will always be in awe of him. A great loss to all of us in the field of historical research.

My grandmother was Anna Lyon Wiley from King Ferry, so I have always been especially aware of Karl and his work. As a librarian, I admired him greatly. I have many of his bibliographies. My thoughts and prayers are with Karl's family and close friends. I will always remember him with great admiration.

Very sad to hear of Karl's passing. I worked with him at the U of R Library Rare Books Department when I was a student there. He was a true gentleman. I enjoyed his discussions on many topics, I was impressed with his knowledge and how much he enjoyed knowing (or learning) the minutiae of the collections, and he inspired me to look at things from a more historical vantage point. Deepest condolences to his whole family.
