Not sure what to say?

I knew Mike from working at Kahn's Deli. He was such a cool guy. I enjoyed working there because it was like a family. My heart goes out to Marcia and the girls. He was truly a good man and I'm so glad I got to know him.

Miss Mike and Artie think about them often

Mike you gave me my start in Houston and taught me well. When it's all said and done you done good man thanks for the opportunity and memories. A note to yours and other childern it's only hard when your young it gets better with time. You shall be missed and remembered with you father. ´Remember me by this sign I made at work " hey queen Elizabeth whats in your purse". Lol

Rest in peace Mike. You taught me well. Thanks for the job and the memories.

I am so sorry to hear of passing of Mike. I first met him when we both attended Pershing Elementary. He and Doug Bettis were friends. I knew Doug first. My best friend was Carrie Cochran who sadly passed away several years ago. I grew up loving food from "Alfred´s" and later Mike opened his own restaurant in West University. He had a great sense of humor, quick wit, and was always cheerful, and friendly. The family and his many friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Penny Hagner Koepsel

Oh how sad! Michael and I grew up together and I loved continuing the connection at Kahn's with Marcia, where he kept Appenzeller Swiss for me. In a photo of me in the newspaper, Michael saw my Multimix 5-head malt machine & begged for me to sell it to him. I declined but said I would make a codicil in my Will for him. Couple of years ago I tried to find him, as I was downsizing and wished to give it to him. Sadly could not find him! May his memory be only for blessings.....

Mike and Artie and grew up together and had a lot of great times sure have missed him since closing of his restaurant and May his spirits always be withMarcia and family. Garry

Just love your family so... Courtney (Wells) Hammermeister
