I never met Karl, but I keep this page pinned to my iPad, and pop in from time to time to see his sweet face, and to remember meeting his Dad at the Marine Parents conference. I don't know if I ever told my son about that meeting. He was just learning to fly his chopper back then. Karl, John and I went to the Memorial Day Ceremony at Santa Ana Cemetery. As always we took your American Heroes Banner with us. There was special recognition for the 150th year since the end of the Civil War. A handful of people came up to talk to us after the Ceremony. We take every opportunity we get to tell people about what an incredible young man you were. This is our 10th year at this event. Each year there seem to be more people in attendance which is outstanding. Lots of families...

10 years, pal, 10 years. On Monday at Culpeper we had a bugler and a gun salute. Dreany and Sprano magically showed up just minutes before. Mom was so pleased that people remember.
