My first memory of my Grandfather was at Jackson Barracks. I would like to express my condolences to the family of COL Samuels. I had the pleasure of serving with COL Samuels in the Louisiana Army National Guard for many years. COL Samuels was a great Officer and a friend.

Our deepest sympathies to family and friends. I knew COL Samuels through our service in the Louisiana National Guard. He was a great guy and professional Soldier.

Diane and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Karl's family and friends. Karl was a great soldier and leader.
