Not sure what to say?

Karl Sandelin is a man with a big heart. I first met him at a young age when he came to Ethiopia in 1970 with the late KALSEC president and former Congressman, the Honorable Paul Todd Jr. to establish a Spice Extraction company. Later, they arranged a scholarship for me, first at WMU and then at Brandeis. I owe all the success in my education and my career to them. God bless their souls.

My first job out of the Army in 1979 was with KALSEC as a Grinder Operator. Karl was so easy to talk to, he had respect for everyone he met. Karl just had a way about him that made you feel valued. RIP sir.

Rest in peace, neighbor. Jelita (Wos) Mayville

A good, humble, and kind-hearted man. Thoughts and prayers, for Tobi, Eric and their entire family.

Kalamazoo Rotary and the Kalamazoo Community have lost a giant. Karl always had a smile on his face, and a "fin" in his wallet to donate to a good cause. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Rest in peace Mr. Sandelin or as I always called him Gasha Karl. You were a quiet, very disciplined, good hearted, hard working man. Gasha Karl and Auntie Joyce were an integral part of my childhood in Kalamazoo. Hugs and peace to the family.

I was blessed to have known Karl. Prayers of Comfort & Peace to Family and friends.
