Not sure what to say?

Dear Turros - We're more than "a day late" expressing our sympathy and shock about Karl. Pat Durkin just told me about this - what a wonderful life he led!! You're all in our thoughts and prayers.

Amy - I was very sad to hear about Karl's death. Best wishes to you and your family in carrying his memory and cherishing your times together...

Turro Family,
I have struggled this past week to come up with the right words to express my sympathy at Karl's passing. I am not sure if it has sunk in yet that I lost one of my closest high school friends, and way too soon at that. His wit and warmth will be missed as well as knowing that he was always there with a kind word to say. We were all blessed to have Karl as a part of our lives and I feel especially grateful that we became friends in high school and have remained in touch...

Turro family and friends,
The services this past weekend were beautiful and offered a chance to remember Karl. It is hard to accept that such a warm, caring, and fun-loving friend and colleague is gone far too soon. It is no wonder he was so beloved in many diverse circles of friends and family. The fact he was able to bring his warmth and energy to each group is further testament to the wonderful individual that was Karl. His presence will be felt at Northwestern and beyond for many...

I worked occasionally with Karl at Northwestern. He always had a smile and always remembered me, even though we didn't see each other often. He was such a positive presence. He will be missed.
My deepest sympathies to his family.

Karl was a colleague of mine in the Ivy league contoller's group. I always enjoyed seeing him twice a year at our meetings. Karl was always friendly, warm and engaging to talk to. He happended to be a excellent accountant too, and I always respected what he had to say. I will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family.

My condolences to Karl's loved ones. I worked at NU and was impressed with his intelligence and grateful for his guidance and collaboration. May he rest in peace.

Karl was a wonderful, kind man. He always had a smile on his face. He would give me a big hug when I saw him at EAC. I spent many wonderful hours biking with Karl. My condolences to his family.
