I only heard of your passing yesterday. You were my childhood idol--so smart and so beautiful. I loved it when you came to stay with my grandmother, your Auntie Jennie--on the farm. I kept thinking we would reconnect.

Karla - you telephoned from a car dealership and left a message a month ago and I didn't return your call. Feel so rotten about that now. Was shocked to find out through reading your obituary. Went to your memorial service today and loved the little church in Bolinas. Love you too, and all our times together.
