Not sure what to say?

Although Karla and I never met in person, we've had numerous interactions over the last 15 or so years. I appreciated her artistic talents and her writing, and published her more than once in Poetry in Motion magazine under the name Kasin Hunter. I can look across my living room right now, and gaze on a very large, lovely gourd she gave me as a gift years ago. Go with God sweet lady.

We are so sorry for the loss of Karla Anne Skinner, a life that ended much too soon. We hope fond memories will keep her spirit with her family and bring comfort to you for many years to come.

To Lori and Family, I am so sorry for the loss of Karla, she was a true original and her own person. I was lucky enough to know her, plus still have one of her special gourds that she made for me. May your precious memories of Karla stay in your hearts forever! God Bless all of you. Love, Beth Davis

Karla will be remembered and missed. Let her light shine through us all!

Karla was so talented. She could play piano, guitar and sing like a beautiful songbird. Her handcrafted gourds were amazing works of art. She loved her rescue dogs so much. I always knew you were there if I needed to count on you. I loved the way she was so upstanding and honest with me. She did more in 58 years then some do in a lifetime. I miss you sister.

Although it has been more than 30 years since we were together I've always remembered Karla fondly and now sadly.
