Not sure what to say?

My mom and Mrs. Rigan were way ahead of their time when, in the late '60s and early '70s, they started jogging around the neighborhood in the mornings. They were in their 40s and 50s respectively! I am more impressed now than I was then, of course. I remember Mrs. Rigan always had a big smile and a positive attitude, and was a lot of fun. Love and condolences to Dennis, David, Paul and their families.

Karwyn was a much-loved member of the annual community messiah sing along chorus. We loved her cheerful greetings, enthusiasm, and wonderful singing.

We will miss her at our ann arbor sympyhony concerts, too.

We all loved how music was part of her life and community.

I worked with Karwyn with special education students and sang with her in the FUMC choir for a time. Although our paths did not cross after her retirement, I will always remember her with great fondness. She was a very special lady! I was not surprised to find out that she was older than my mom who is 91. Her spirit and energy was always remarkable.

I have known Karwyn for over 40 years as we lived in the same neighborhood. She was a good friend and a wonderful mom and grandma. She was very involved in our Church and I will miss her sweet smile. Norma Wonnacott

Did you know that Karwin stood on her head for exercise in the morning? One night at choir practice she proved to all that she did and could and went heels over head in the Social Hall!

Her red hair was as fiery as her commitment to her family , to life, to causes she held dear, and to her Lord.

My sympathy to her family and reassurance that she is in heaven continuing on with all of the vim and vigor that she enjoyed for most of her life.

Karwyn was a friend to all and an advocate for many through her involvement in the League of Women Voters and other civic organizations. She was also a faithful supporter of the Martha Cook Building. My sympathy to her family. Betty Bishop (League of Women Voters and Martha Cook Alumnae of Ann Arbor)

Karwyn was a wonderful neighbor and friend. When we first moved to Ann Arbor in 1991, she would frequently offer vegetables from her garden, gardening advice (I needed it) and even brought Easter baskets over for my children. She enjoyed feeding the wildlife and riding her bike through the neighborhood (even into her late 80's!). An amazing, interesting, and generous woman. We were so lucky to have her for a neighbor. I will miss our talks "at the fence". My sympathies to her family -...

Karwyn was a joy and a blessing to all who knew her; I'm glad I was one.
Rest in peace. My sympathies to her family.
Judy Mich, League of Women Voters

Karwyn was a very nice lady and I enjoyed watching her ride her bike around the neighborhood. She would always be quick to smile and say hello. I am sure you all will have many happy memories of your mom, grandama andfriend. God Bless All.
