Not sure what to say?

As long as we say her name, she will be remembered. A great lady gone too soon.

I still think of Karyl after all these years. She was a bright light, extinguished too soon. We were all richer for knowing her.

I am sorry to learn of Karyl's death (from reunion page for Highland High). Karyl was my classmate from Highland Park Elementary onward. We shared many classes and experiences. What a beautiful woman. I will always remember her for the beautiful art that she produced. It started early for her. I still remember the Easter egg she made in fourth (?) grade that just brought gasps from the class. So clever and beautiful. Just like Karyl. Bless her heart. I will always remember her.

I am Tom's sister. Although I only met Karyl twice, I was impressed with her gracious and loving spirit. She was truly a Blessing to our family and a wonderful addition. Her spirit surely lives on in her many acts of kindness and expressions of love.

One year has passed by and we continue to see and feel how lives were touched by this very special friend. We miss Karyl dearly but know in our hearts and souls that she is well and happy.

Tom,Melissa,and Jordan,

I want each of you to know that Karyl had a profound effect on my life. I will miss Karyl as she was such a wonderful aunt to me. She was full of love and devotion. Let us all be strong as she would want us to. ETTE!

Some may wish to read this tribute to a great lady!

I see by the clock on the wall that the time this morning is now 10:20 a.m. There is not enough time remaining in this day to sufficiently extol the virtues of our beloved Karyl. I imagine that most of you have heard the familiar expression, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” When I behold this most wonderful daughter of God, I see radiant beauty.

We give thanks this season for a woman who touched so many people's lives. Although her life on earth has ended, our relationship with her continues. I am often reminded of how much she loved others and feel blessed to be a recipient of such devotion.

To Karyl's Family and Friends:

I knew Karyl back when we were in High School. Having moved away shortly thereafter and having not been in contact since that time, I'm quite certain that only her then imediate family may remember me.

I was very saddend to hear of Karyl's passing but after having read your comments, I had to smile realizing that the same talented, loving, giving, non-stop bundle of energy that made such an impression on me, one that has lasted all...
