KARYN COLFER

I can't believe it's been 10 years. I got to know Karyn via email and text after first talking to her via Twitter. She gave her blessing to a friend of mine and me to raise money for Christopher's birthday, with the money going to F.A.C.E.S. We raised over $10,000 in just under 3 years. Most of the donations came in the very first fundraiser for his 23rd birthday. I never got to meet her. One of my deepest regrets. But she did get me a meeting with Christopher at one of his early book...

Dear Chris, I only recently discovered that your mom, Karyn, died in 2016, and I am so very, very sorry this has happened to you and Hannah, as well as your dad. I saw Chris on Jimmy Fallon last week & was in disbelief when he mentioned in passing his mom had passed away. I feel so bad for him & especially his sister.
