I am terribly saddened by the news of Kate's passing. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to know such a unique, kind, gental, witty woman. Kate inspired me to be at my best when I worked with the family at Kate's Third Ave. My experience there launched my career and I am forever grateful to Kate for that (and afternoon tea at her apartment lol).

I only have to say that I am grateful to have met Kate at Kate's Paperie 3rd avenue. She truely was a great woman. Always smiling, giving us love, showing us that she cared for us. That is why Kate's will always have a special place in my heart. It was great in feeling that she did not see us as her employees but a family she would have to make sure we were good. She will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you for sharing not only your time but bringing to us this wonderland of papers.

It was a privilege to have known Kate Flax. I will always remember her charm and elegance, but most of all her kindness. She had a generosity of spirit that made a lasting impact on me and for I which remain grateful many years later. May her family be comforted by happy memories and may she rest in peace.

Kate had a persona larger than life.
She created a wonderland of paper.
Whenever, she walked into the store she brought life, laughter and kindness. She will be missed. A great lady.

I treasure my time at Kate's Paperie Third Avneu. A highlight was getting to spend time with the one & only Kate. She was as witty as could be, kind, and caring. We looked forward to her visits. She will always have a special place in my heart.
