My sincere condolences to the family. Mrs. Kate Johnson was my typing teacher at Central High School in Sussex, Va. She was also my 12th-grade homeroom teacher. She taught me well. Fresh out of high school, I landed a job as a computer verifier with the National Geographic Society in Washington, DC. I was hired as a verifier because I could accurately type 60+ words per minute.
