Not sure what to say?

Dear Bob and Family, Kate was such a good friend for many years. We shared many adventures from high school through college and even as 'mature' adults! We had such fun and great talks. She was always supportive when I needed it. I remember her as a great hostess and loving mom. Hosting swim parties and Christmas dinner. Hank and I always enjoyed 'hanging out' with the Powers family in Houston and Lake Forest. Kate is greatly missed. I often find myself thinking about her and...

Dear Bob, Chris, Kyle and Colin,

Our thoughts, love and prayers are with you all during this time of great sadness.

May you know that Kate touched our hearts in many ways. Kate was one of the first Mom's that I met when we moved to Lake Forest from England. She was the perfect Mom, always so positive, so grounded, so calm and so much fun. She had one of the most wonderfully positive parenting styles of anyone that I have ever met, one that I continue to aspire...

Bob, Christopher, Kyle, and Colin
Kate is my second cousin, and though we never lived near her family, we visited many times since our dads are good friends as well as first cousins.
Like her mother, Kate was a radiant person with a flair for living. We always had a good time together. Over the last couple decades, we exchanged Christmas cards to keep each other current on our family's lives. I will cherish her notes and photos, as well as be inspired to make each day count....

Bob, Chris, Kyle and Colin,
May you know that we pray for your comfort and strength at this sad time. We will remember all the festive family times we shared with Kate, Penny and all of you. The choir of angels from our families continues to grow thus will our protection by them.

I met Kate since I moved to Lake Forest seven years ago. I am also a mother of three boys. Kate was so generous with her time when I would call looking for one of my boys. She always helped me keep things in perspective and understand more clearly the issues raising boys who like to push the limits. She was always so positive and hopeful. My boys loved being in her home. I'm grateful for all the time she engaged in conversations with them. She got to know them well and they thought the world...

Bob, Chris, Kyle and Colin:

My heart goes out to you wonderful guys. Kate loved each and everyone of you with every bit of her heart and cherished her time with you all.

We will all miss our dear Kate, but please know she's in God's loving hands and in good company with Penny/Mom/Mom-Mom, my Susan, as well as many other loved ones who have welcomed her.

God's peace and love be with each of you.

I have known Kate since high school in Houston TX. We met in homeroom as sophomores at Westchester High School. We went to different colleges but always managed to see each other and spend weekends together. She was maid of honor at my wedding in 1974. We continued our friendship throughout the years eventhough she moved from Houston to California to Houston to Lake Forest. I will always remember Kate as one up for a good party! And we did party! My thoughts and prayers are with her husband,...

All of us here at Radiation Oncology where Kate was treated, want to extend our sympathy to the Thomas family. It was evident that Kate was truly one of the "special people", by her sweet nature and smile everyday she walked into our department. We are thinking of you all during this difficult time and also the Powers Family. Dr. M. Posner, Keitt, Jean, Bea, Al, Barb, Renee, Danielle and Georgia.

Bob,Chris,Kyle & Colin,
I know what an awful time this is for you and hopefully with time it will subside. Your Mom was very special to you all and a wonderful wife and friend to my brother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
