My family knew Kate as "Kay." She and Loretta babysat for me and my siblings. (As I recall--and I could be wrong--Loretta was sitting for us the night my parents were bowling and my brother and I got into a fight and I ended up with a bloody nose all over the living room floor.) We were quite the handful, but the Forquer girls were our favorite babysitters. I fondly remember Kay as sweet and quiet. I always thought she smiled like an angel.
