Not sure what to say?

Just yesterday....i was so happy to see a very close friend of mine and Katie's by chance...shopping at costco...we were all together in the same bible study for years...led by Peter Barnes....sadly, she told me what happened to Katie and I had to take a time out...she was such a beautiful woman of God and I looked forward to seeing her each and every week we were together...we studied the book of Revelation...learned Hebrew and went to countless events during the late 90s and early...

I've been thinking about Katie and her family and wanted to just express my sadness. I'm sure the holidays bring many memories to your family.
Katie was one of the first friends I made at UC Davis. We lived in the dorm on Bixby 4 and also took many political science classes together our freshman year. I have so many wonderful memories of Katie and our time together in Davis.
Many years later we reconnected for dinner in San Diego and in between those years we always exchanged...

So much love is sent to everyone who took the time to remember Katie and to tell us your special message.
It now has been one year...what a trauma full of beautiful memories, thank you so much.

This site time is about up. I would love to hear from all of you

Katie had an intensity for life like no other person I have met! We attended nearly every class in our graduate program together and we got our Masters in Health Administration together. She had a strong will and felt compelled to support those whom she saw as being the underdog or those not being treated fairly. I left the West Coast for the East Coast. I regret not keeping in touch. She will be missed.

I last saw Katie in January and we had a wonderful visit. And, we were supposed to have dinner this weekend as I have a conference in SD. I am just finding out about Katie's passing and truly appreciate Krissy's call back to me yesterday. Thank you. She was an amazing friend for over 25 years, going back to Harvard summer school in 1985. When she was sick I made a trip to Palo Alto as she was recovering and we talked so many times from so far apart about so many things. But Katie had a...

My wife and I watched Katie growing up as a young girl the age of our own children, Jenny and Mike, at Huntington Lake, where we have a cabin just up the hill from her family's. As she grew into a young woman we realized she was not only beautiful but had a beautiful spirit. In recent years we were astonished to watch her long swims across the Lake to Dam #2, a greater distance in that very cold water than anyone else would swim. That she ied swimming at La Jolla, whose waters we also have...

OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO MARY, ELISABETH AND FAMILY.

GEORGE AND KIKA ZENOVICH

Katie was my first college roomate at Davis at the little duplex on Villanova Drive. I was a timid freshman away from home for the first time who couldn't secure a room in the dorms. Katie welcomed me, wrapped her arms around me (literally and figuratively), and took me under her wing. In no time, she introduced me to her friends and encouraged me to rush her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. Katie became my sorority sister and treasured friend and I owe much to her kind and generous heart. I...

I knew Katie when I worked with her at Shiley eye Center. I just found out today and my prayers go out to Katie's family. I remember her commitment to her faith and it always encouraged me. She was an inspiration to many people.
