The Blackburn Family mourns the passing of Katherine Margaret Miller-Blackburn,78, daughter of John and Grace Miller deceased and a sister Margaret. Katherine is survived by her husband Gerald Blackburn and their three children; Sharon, Stephen and Michael. Her six grandchildren; Bridget, Sydney, Britny, Samantha, Myles, Ruby, and a great granddaughter, Francesca. Katherine lived in Garden Grove Ca. and was married to Gerald for 57 years. She was a wife, mother, and community patron. She was a member of Catholic Daughters, Girl Scouts of America, California PTA, and the Los Angeles County Science and Engineering Fair. She had working career with several companies and participated as a school special ed aide. In 2003 she was vice president and treasurer of the Aerospace Legacy Foundation. Her and Gerald formed an educational resource company in 2009 called Tinkers Corner. They served the Whittier City School District from 2010- 2016 teaching at risk students. Katherine was cremated. A memorial service and celebration of life event will be scheduled at a later date.
