Not sure what to say?

Kathy was like a grandmother towards me. I lived in Oceanside and we used to eat Jamoca Almond Fudge at the pier on Wednesdays. She used to call me once a week. She called to tell me that she was moved to Assisted Living and that was the last I heard from her. Her phone calls stopped and I couldn't call her because her phone number had changed. I came to find out of her death online few months later. I missed her everyday. I missed calling her. I love Kathy.

I feel so sad. I just found out today that the beautiful Katie Brown is no longer living. I am Associate Producer of the documentary and I have been trying for a long time to reach her to bring her up to date on the documentary and it's amazing resonance with the public. It has been seen on PBS stations all across the country in the last few months and in April we had to turn away over 200 people at the Premiere because every single space was taken: 600 people attended. I grew up with Janet and knew "Mrs" Brown for many years. It wasn't until later in life that I knew her as Katie. I will always remember her as one of the classiest ladies I ever knew. She played the piano beautifully and was gifted in many other areas. God rest her soul. I know her family will miss her.

I had the pleassure of visiting Katie 5 days a week at Cinnabon when I walked with the Mall Walkers for several years. My life has been enriched by having her in my life. God bless all her family. I miss her every day.

I asked her gently how old she was and she said that she would be 91 in a few days...wow? that impressed us. She was so diligent and efficient in doing her "chores" before the store opend to business each morning. I e-mailed Joan Faryon at KPBS about her and she was to do a piece on her......we look forward to seeing/hearing this story in April. She...

Dear Janet, and Katie's family, I met your mom a few times when she was living in Post Falls. I am so impressed by her talents and energy. She contributed so much goodness to other's lives. My condolences to you, and God bless your special Mom..
