Not sure what to say?

It is still difficult for me to comprehend that Kandi is not in Durango planning her and Dwight´s next adventure. Since we roomed together at Drane Hall our sophomore year at Texas Tech, I could count on Kandi to make me think and to make me see deeper into life and into the adventures that are there if you seek them. You were a very special friend that cannot be replaced. How fortunate for me to have had you in my life.

I am honored to say I had Dr Burgess as an instructor. She not only taught but awoken the passion of Philosophy that was dormant in me. I will be forever grateful to have been a student of hers. My condolences to the family and those who were Blessed to have had discussions/conversations with this incredible woman.

My condolences to Katherine´s family and all who loved her. I met Katherine when we moved to Durango in 2008. Katherine was recommended as a travel agent. We soon became friends. I remember our times at The Office happy hour sharing a glass wine and talking about everything under the sun. She was an educator, a philosopher, and a great conversationalist. She believed in living life to its fullest and was active in the community; teaching, lecturing, joining organizations and boards, and...

Katherine was a jewel to be around. She lit up a room with her presence, wit, wisdom, caring, and sense of humor. I knew her through Leadership La Plata as I was the Chair for the Selection committee that picked her that year. I also became a client of hers as she did such a memorable and caring travel plans for my bride and me when we traveled to Argentina a few years back. Rest in peace in the Lord, Katherine, you will be sorely miss.

My sympathy to all of Katherine´s family and friends. Katherine actively embraced life, taught us the art of dying, and will be deeply missed.

My sincere sympathy goes out to Kandi´s family and friends of which I am one. She was my college roommate, a bridesmaid in my wedding and a live long compadre. Her tenacity, her integrity, her brilliant mind and her loyalty earned my respect and admiration. How blessed I was to know her.
