Arlene and I are saddened to hear of Katy´s passing. We admired her wit, passion, and beautiful holiday parties where the food, wine, and conversations flowed. Our thoughts are with Don and family. -Newton and Arlene Kershaw

Katy was a brave pioneer who, through sheer force of personality and talent, lowered the glass ceiling for other women journalists. She spoke truth to power with wit, sharp prose, and fearless accuracy. In what was a man´s profession, Katy´s soft voice and warm personality could be mistaken for weakness; until those iron fingers inside a velvet glove hit the keyboard! America is a better place thanks to Katy and those who walked through the door she opened. She will be missed by many,...

I will always remember her kindness while working there. More than a customer also a friend
