Not sure what to say?

I think of my dear godmother, Kay, all the time. and I remember her fondly for all the fun times I had with her. I cherish those memories and miss her dearly. It was also fun to see my own mother, Betty Warburton, interact with her dear college friend and to hear about their escapades. As Kay said, "We were very naughty!"

I am so sorry to read this obituary. My mother, Betty Warburton Rizzo, and Kay, were classmates at Barnard and Kay was my godmother when I was born in 1948. My mom was also one of her two bridesmaids and they were lifelong friends. When my mother had a stroke in February 2008, I held the phone to her ear and Kay exhorted her "to get well." For at least 10 minutes! She did get well for while and then died in August of 2008.

I will always remember Kay's laugh and kindness to me...

Kay was like a second mother to me after my mom (her best friend) passed. She was kind,, caring, encouraging and supportive. We shared many laughs together and she will forever be in my heart. I miss her dearly but I know that she was no longer living the life she wanted to live. I will miss our talks and the friendship we developed over the years.

Kay was a bubbly, witty, caring, intelligent and loving woman. We had many fun conversations and communication. I enjoyed sending Kay fresh fruit and goodies with humorous hand written cards. Kay would reach out to check on my special needs daughter and sent well wishes often. She is to be admired and celebrated for her full life, educational achievements, strength and tenderness. She will be missed.

Kay inspired many to succeed in the face of adversity, she always would help others in their time of need, gracious and wise, a good friend to my parents. Thank you Mrs. Constant there aren't many people of your caliber, we were lucky to have you as a friend and neighbor.

Kay was our direct neighbor in North Shore Acres for 25 years. We loved and admired her. She was a very strong, intelligent woman and we thought of her often after we moved out of state.

Offering our deepest sympathies during this time.
