I remember seeing Katy at least once a year, for many years, at Christmas time, at the home of her dear friends. I will always think of her whenever I hear the song "Here Comes the Sun". She liked that song.

Very dear Elizabeth and Ned, With heartfelt sorrow I hear of our beautiful Katy passing away. I hold precious memories of her during our get togethers. Deep condolences. You were marvelous parents and examples for her. Pete died on October 8, 2024 after a rough 6 years. Much love to both of you. Martita

I have many wonderful memories of our times working together at Porter Hills. My deepest condolences.

I had the honor of being Katy's college roommate while Ned and Elizabeth were working in Texas. Katy became more than a roommate but a dear friend. We shared many adventures together in our 20's. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was a great storyteller, writer, cook and had an incredible memory for politics and public figures. She was a part of many circles and lit up every room. Katy was so loved by her family, Fred, coworkers, community members and neighbors. I will always cherish her...

I was so sorry to learn of Katy´s passing. My mom used to tell me about her and she was such an inspiration!!

I'm pretty sure I was Katy's favorite cousin. What I'm more certain of is that Katy was the most loving and positive person I've ever known. Her love for her cousins (my brother, my sister, and me) was unabashed and total. Family was so important to her. She loved hugs, especially when I picked her up off the ground, which made her giggle with abandon. I enjoyed our discussions about politics, about which we did not see eye-to-eye. I was honored to be part of her and Fred's wedding, and she...

We fondly remember Katy as a teenager growing up and finding her talents. We worked with Ned and socialized with him and Elizabeth as they were figuring out how to best help Katy to attain her college dreams. Elizabeth was a force to turn those dreams into a reality. Katie had a formidable role model and was always moving forward! Our deepest sympathies- Nancy McKelvey and Pablo Gonzalez

I was so lucky to be Katy's favorite cousin! Well, I'm not sure I was her favorite (she probably loved me and my brothers equally) but she was certainly mine! I have so many beautiful memories and, even as I am so sad she is gone, I am so grateful to have had her in my life. For many years, Katy and her parents visited us in Washington, DC. For many years, we were Pen Pals. I got to help her buy her wedding dress and be a bridesmaid in Katy and Fred's wedding. I got to have Katy as Maid of...
