Katherine Joan Eaton

Joan and I served together in the Army in Germany, as radio operators at US Army Headquarters Europe. Joan was an exemplary soldier who loved being able to serve her country. Always good natured and friendly, Joan was the only friend from the Army that I kept in touch with, up to 1966 when, as a Foreign Service Office, I left the U.S. for worldwide assignments, and to this day her spirit remains with me.
