Not sure what to say?

Katie and I were roommates at Dickinson College from 1964 through her graduation in 1966. I was privileged to have Katie as a roommate. I transferred into Dickinson and was a year behind Katie. Katie was truly a beatiful person - inside & out. She was welcoming, kind, fun, smart, and a loyal friend. Her determination to succeed was evident even then. She was a role model with disciplined study habits. We had many wonderful times and talks. I always enjoyed hearing about her many trips...

Katie and I were 'HUNT' buddies and good (army brat) friends at Ft. Leavenworth. Lots of horse shows even a Jenny Camp Trial, a qualifier for the 3 day Olympic Trials! Days were filled with young friendship and (horse show) jumping practice and summers walking the horses around the post airfield by the Missouri River. I remember her to be a beautiful, kind and gifted friend, and I still think of her often.

Katie and I met in 1958 when she was 12 and I was 14. Our families were next-door neighbor's at Fort Ruger, Hawaii, when it truly was a paradise and before became the state. The two families were close, followed each other over the years, visited whenever the opportunity presented itself, and kept in touch. Katie was very shy at that age but it didn't take very long for her to become one of the most determined people I've ever known in my life to succeed in doing whatever she puts her mind to...

A wonderful, warm person, friends at the MAC for many years. Katie always had a smile on her face, even when her health was keeping her from doing everything she loved, she never gave up. Always fun, interesting and positive to be around. She will be greatly missed, R.I.P. dear Katie.

Katie was a wonderful friend, mentor, buddy. Always game for an adventure and quick to laugh. Supportive, thoughtful, kind, gracious, generous. So glad to have her in my life and will miss her so much.

I was lucky enough to be one of Katie's buddies through the Mazamas. She always made me feel welcome and confident. I will miss her quick wit and glowing smile.

So thankful all of the support that Katie gave me in the Mazamas.

I met Katie 13 years ago she was a Bright Shining Light that I was always Shining... I will Miss You Dearly My Friend!

A sad loss of a noble person, leader and climber
