Not sure what to say?

I don't go out so here is my tribute to Kathy Hoveland. Harmony Bar & Grill Harmony BAR #KathyHovelandLifeCelebration I came to the radio station to pay off a pledge and donate things I made for the browse shelf. Kathy Hoveland answered the door. She was really happy to see me and she immediately hugged me. She said she remembered me from grade school at Crestwood and high school at JMM. Kathy said "You were one of the smartest kids in school" I...

Our favorite thing was making each other laugh Until sick.Cannot wait to see you again to take up where we left off.

Dear family of Kathy Hoveland -- I just want to say how very sorry I am for your loss. It's a loss for our entire community -- as I knew Kathy from WORT volunteering. She was a force of nature -- a can-do person who not only volunteered, but did it with humor, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. She was tireless in her work ethic -- and a delight to share a long conversation with. I thoroughly enjoyed each and every time we had a chance to volunteer together .... sharing our...

Kathy was one of the first volunteers I met at Wort outside from En Nuestro Patio, I enjoyed chatting with her every time I picked a phone shift during pledge drives or whenever I stopped by the studio to pre-record an interview. Thanks for the chance of meeting you, Wort won't be the same without you.

Just learned of Kathy's passing through the WORT volunteer newsletter. She brought the sparkle, wit, kindness, and unerring competence to every task she took on at the station. I loved catching up with her during pledge drives. Kathy made WORT--and I suspect everywhere else--a happier, funnier, more welcoming place. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

I had a wonderful time serving with Kathy on WORT Board of Directors. I will miss here laugh and her passionate commitment to making WORT an ever more vibrant part of the Madison community.

What a wonderful, spirited person. Kathy and I taught at Kennedy "next door" to each other. We both left in 2005. Kathy would never hesitate to go to bat for her class, or indiviual students. They admired her and defended her. Staunch in her views, never yielding when she knew she was right. Saw her and Tony years ago at Woodmans and I swear everytime I go there (often) I thought by chance I might run into her again. One of the best! Thank you Tony for being there for her.

Kathy was such an enthusiastic and passionate teacher. She loved her students and was creative, energetic and committed to making sure all kids were treated with respect and care.

Kathy was a wonderful and caring teacher to my daughter. She was definitely one the best in the Madison Public School system. Rest In Peace, you made the world a better place.
