Jacobson, Katherine "Katie" Ann Katie Jacobson, 25, of Chicago, originally of Elm Grove, Wisconsin, died unexpectedly of an epileptic seizure while getting ready for work on Friday, August 11. Beloved daughter of James 'Jake' Jacobson and the late Laura Ladish Jacobson. Devoted sister of John Jacobson (Mackenzie Jacobson) and Brian Jacobson. Wonderful granddaughter of Lois G. Ladish and the late John H. Ladish, and James J. Jacobson Sr. and the late Anna Jacobson. Beloved niece of Bill and Sally Ladish, Margaret Ladish Exner and Charles Exner, Mary Ladish Selander and Larry Selander, and Bob Jacobson. Dedicated and beloved cousin to Matt Ladish, Lisa Ladish Gahn (Tony Gahn) and daughter Caroline, Tom Exner (fiancee Allison Shipston), Dan Exner (fiancee Elaine Streng), and Abby Exner Spittler (Mike Spittler). One of her most cherished roles in life was being godmother to Caroline Gahn whom she had the immense pleasure of visiting the night before she passed away. Katie was a shining star--a focused beam of glowing light, love, and life to so many. Her legions of friends were as dedicated to her as she was to them. Her personality was immense and her magnetism unequalled. She was a force of nature and her absence leaves a huge vacuum that will never be filled. She devoted a substantial part of her life to sports. She was a goalie on DSHA's state championship soccer team, a captain of her high school hockey team, and a skier and basketball player. Many of Katie's lifelong friends are former teammates. Graduate of Marquette University, she loved her job at JPMorgan Chase as Event Management Specialist, and greeted every client with the utmost of professionalism. She exuded the "Ladish Way" that the customer is always first and foremost. Her business colleagues adored her. Visitation with Katie's family will be held at the Funeral Home on Sunday, August 20 from 12 to 4 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 21, 10 AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Brookfield (1755 N. Calhoun Rd.) In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Marquette University - Katie Jacobson Scholarship Fund, 1250 W. Wisconsin Ave.,Milwaukee, WI 53233.

Not sure what to say?

Dear Mary and Larry,
I am saddened to learn of Katie's passing. You and your entire family have my deepest and sincerest sympathy. Anything I can say at a time like this will be of little comfort. Much love, Liz Stiffel

My deepest condolences to the family of Katherine Jacobson. May you all find comfort in knowing that others share your sorrow. Take comfort in knowing that God keeps those who fall asleep in death in his memory because they are precious in his eyes. My deepest and sincere condolences to your families and friends.

I am so sorry for your tragic loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. We are members of SJV and have a daughter that was a grade behind Katie at SJV and DSHA.

I will be out of town and unable to stop and express my personal condolences on your tragic loss. Not that I could do much to help other than to let you know we are thinking of you and your pain. There are no words that will relieve your pain but perhaps there should be some comfort in knowing you were a great protector and father to your very talented daughter.
Mike Guerin

My deepest condolences to the Jacobson family and all others who loved Katie. I was lucky enough to get to know and work with her through our positions at JPMorgan. Our Client Center family will never be the same without her. She will be deeply missed.
