Katherine "Kathy" Renee DePew

Katherine “Kathy” Renee DePew, 68, of Rising Sun, Maryland, formerly of Campbell, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, just one week after celebrating her 68th birthday.

Born on August 19, 1957, in Gideon, Missouri, Kathy was the daughter of the late Jack and Betty Rhine. On August 4, 1983, in Gideon, Missouri, she married the love of her life, Larry DePew. They shared many wonderful years together, and Kathy remained devoted to Larry, especially in his final years. She was preceded in death by Larry, as well as her parents.

She is survived by two sons, John DePew and wife, Kate, of Rising Sun, Maryland, and Jeff Rhine and wife, Margo, of Campbell, Missouri; her stepson, Chad DePew and wife, Melissa, of Lafe, Arkansas; her brothers, Steve Rhine and wife, Misty, of Kennett, Missouri, and Mike Rhine of Gideon; seven grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Joy Saladin, of St. Peters, Missouri; and her mother-in-law, Barbara DePew, of Campbell, Missouri.

For many years, Kathy worked as the produce manager at IGA in Campbell, where she was known for her dedication, warmth, and the friendly spirit she shared with customers and co-workers alike. When she retired, one of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and spending time at the Sugar Shack.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell and a memorial service will begin at 6 p.m., with Mr. James Powell officiating.

Landess Funeral Home and Crematory of Campbell are in charge of the arrangements.
