"Leider habe ich jetzt erst erfahren, dass Katherine verstorben ist. Sie war sehr hilfsbereit bei meinen Recherchen über Walter Baade (Astronom, 24. März - 25. Juni 1960). Ihr Mann Gerald und sie haben die `Sternfreunde Bad Salzuflen e. V.´ bei der Gedenksteinlegung für Walter Baade finanziell unterstützt und diese Idee mit realisiert. Ihre Briefe an mich - liebevoll geschrieben - werde ich in Ehren aufbewahren.
Ich bin traurig und möchte der hinterbliebenen Familie mein tiefes Mitgefühl...

I have know Katherine and her husband through their son Richard. Katherine was so knowledgeable in so many things she had a fabulous animal statue collection that grew in numbers thru the years to at least hundreds. she had the dates and names of the people who gave them to her. Also a history of the animal and where it was from and then on top of that she filed it in one of her countless files. An interesting person with and interesting and fun personality.
