Katherine R. Laughlin, 74, of Clive, Iowa passed away on May 7, 2013 at Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Katherine was born in Vinton, IA to Josef and Anna Riha. She married Donald Laughlin on June 23, 1962 in Cedar Falls where they spent 43 happy years together. Katherine is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Brian) Rosteck, Laura (Dan) Porter, and Mary (Blair) Johnson; her grandchildren Reagan, Emerson, and Sam Porter, and Anders and Olin Johnson; her sisters Johanna Savage, Addie (Jon) Welch; and her brother Tony (Adeline) Riha. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorials may be directed Taylor House Hospice, 3401 East Douglas Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50317. A family memorial service will be held at a later date.
