Katherine MacGregor played the mean gossipy Harriet Oleson on the popular television series "Little House on the Prairie." MacGregor's character Harriet and her daughter Nellie were the nemesis of the Ingalls family. MacGregor played the character for the full run of the show from 1974 until 1983. Ms. MacGregor was superb as Lady Oleson on "Prairie". She lit up the screen so brightly when she appeared as the wealthy lady mercantile owner. She was perfect for that part. She appeared so realistic. Even tho she had her faults as Harriet, she was a winner. I'm sure that she was a favorite character of many tv fans... Bless this dear woman forever with peace.

I loved to hate Mrs. Olson. I got such a kick out of her. She brought humor and spice to a treasured classic show. Macgregor was one of a kind.

It is with much sadness to hear about the death of Katherine. She was my favorite character on the Little House series. Just watching her perform her character you just knew she was a great actress. Thank you so much for the entertainment Mrs Harriett Oleson.
