Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home - Pawtucket Obituary

Katherine E. Maher, 67, of Pawtucket, passed away Monday, October 31, 2016.  She was the beloved wife of Romuald Maher Jr for 47 years.  Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter the late Allison and Dorothea (Brown) Lake.


Katherine was an avid quilter and enjoyed quilting with her dear friends the Offsite Quilters.  She also was a tireless advocate for veteran’s affairs.


Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Joshua Maher and Romuald (Will) Maher III; three grandchildren, Morgan, Meaghan, and Sean Maher; three sisters, JoAnn Walker, Patricia Hyde, and Nancy McGee, and three brothers, Stephen, Peter, and Timothy Lake.


Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday, November 3rd from 5-8pm in the Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.  Her funeral service will be Friday at 11:30am in the funeral home.  The burial will be private.
