Not sure what to say?

Kathy was a gentle and kind spirit. She made the world a better place.

In 1982, Mrs. Maitland was my afternoon (pm) session kindergarten teacher at Washington Elementary School in Flint. It´s been 44 years and I can still remember how gentle her voice was to me and that I felt safe in her classroom. After all of these years, I still have my handprint set in clay that I made in her class. I also have my report card from kindergarten with her writing on it that says I was a very enthusiastic student. Such a kind nurturing teacher with a positive impact. After...

In 1985 she was my kindergarten teacher at Washington Elementary. She was beautiful and sweet and kind making kindergarten as fun as it could be! I remember songs and activities still to this day. Somewhere there is a picture of me and her at the painting easel I have yellow paint on my nose and she came by booped my nose getting the pain on her finger and someone too our picture! I still have it. What a wonderful person only the fondest of memories of her! Have fun in Heaven !

I am a member of First United Methodist Church of Ann Arbor a church her father Fred served. I loved him and Lois and spent many happy days with them. They were wonderful people. I never met their children, but I know they were loved. My condolences to the family. Lynn Johnson

I always enjoyed hearing about her childhood and her parents' experiences in Brazil. Kathy mentored an elementary student and helped her pass...
