I was so saddened to hear of Kathy's passing. I always thought there was time to go to Colorado again and see Kathy and Jerry. I was wrong. I am so glad Steve got to visit her in September. It was a wonderful thing to know Kathy and be a part of her life. She frequently gave me good advice in teaching, and I was so delighted when she asked me to team teach with her. It added such a new dimension to my teaching days to have someone to share ideas and concerns about individual children. ...
