I met Kay when Karl was still living with her on Prospect St. in Binghamton. Karl and I were dragging each other kicking and screaming through college. He was always bragging on his mother's Polish cooking so when he invited me, as close to a starving student as you might find, to dinner one night I thought, "Oh, boy, this is gonna be good." And it was. A delicious roasted chicken with all the fixings, but alas, not Polish.
I was stunned by the beauty of the landscape paintings...
