I was so sad and sorry to find the passing of Tatine only today. We were work buddies and personal friends for many years and friends from McDermott days. We ate lunch together everyday and I was Rufus´s godmother. Because I am Jewish, she had a big party when she got Rufus and said it was his "Bar mitzvah" ! My mother even crocheted him a Yarmulke! One time while working at McDermott she invited several of her friends to the McDermott fishing camp for a "girls weekend". We had a fishing...

Tatine was a wonderful lady and an outstanding person. She will be sorely missed by the many, many who loved her so dearly.

Tatine was an admirable force. Over lunches at Cafe Minh and visits on her porch on Coliseum St, Tatine never ceased to make me laugh. She littered the conversations with affection for all those she loved and for those who loved her so dearly. Melanie Fawer

Tatine was a centerpiece of our family life growing up in New Orleans. In the early years, I was mostly intrigued-by her lengthy nails, her infectious laugh, her beautiful cat, her skill at Bridge and needlepoint, her green thumb, and her cool car. Later she evolved into an aunt, a godmother, and a dear, best friend to my grandmother. For the past 30 years, she´s been one of my best friends. I miss Tatine every day.

Our family has many fond memories of Tatine when we were neighbors for many years on Coliseum Street. A friend to all, I always enjoyed our porch chats when she'd catch me up on the neighborhood happenings. Her potato chip cookies were legendary and she sweetly delivered them each Christmas to all the children on the block. We are so sad to learn of her recent passing and send our most heartfelt condolences to her family.
