Not sure what to say?

Every March 27th I think of you and gardens and spring rain. Truth be told, I think of you everyday.... So much more is what we aspired. Always more. Love, Michael

Hi Clare, just found your mother's obit online 5 years after her passing. Lovely remembrances. It was my privilege to work for and with your mom from about 1987 to 1990 in Washington, DC. As so many others have attested, she was very proud of you. It would be great to grab coffee or a drink at some point to share a few remembrances of your mom. All the best to you, Clare.

Clare my condolences go out to you about your mom. I just found out last week and am so sad. She touched my heart and we had many great talks at night at oc's when I worked there. Know you are both in my heart. Once again my condolences.

Kate, we will miss you dearly.

Kate was one of the smartest people I know, and she taught me a lot while I worked with her at the paper. She was so proud of you, Clare. She will be missed.

Clare, you've done me a thousand kindnesses throughout our friendship. One of the greatest things you've shared with me was your mother. Her intellect and wit were inspirational. There are a lot of people who will keep her alive in memory. <3

I enjoyed working with Kate and am sorry to learn she is gone.

To Clare and Kate's family:

I was saddened to hear of Kate's passing. I worked with her for many years on the copy desk, and she taught me so much. Kate was passionate about her job, a word that many other coworkers have used to describe her. But it's really the perfect word. I cannot count the number of times her voice rose when arguing a fine point about language with a reporter or another editor. I had the joy of editing the science page for a few months while she was out of the...
