Not sure what to say?

Met Katherine first in Grad. School (Columbia) about late 60's and thereafter at many a conference in Classics; always gracious and super intelligent. So glad to read that her life was a wonderful success, although I had not seen her for decades.

I always enjoyed working with Katherine in her IEEE role, this photo was back in 2009 at the IEEE Panel of Editors meeting held March 27-28, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Shown front row from left are Janet O´Neil, EMC Newsletter Editor-in-Chief, Bram Nauta, Editor-in-Chief IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits (JSSC), and Tony Durniak, Staff Executive IEEE Publications. Back row from left are Richard Jaeger, Chair of the SSC Magazine Advisory Board and SSC Magazine Technology Editor, Mary...

Katherine understood instinctively the purpose of a magazine for our professional organization at work. A community creates their bond by the stories they tell about themselves. It's not often to have ancient Greeks quoted at an engineering meeting. Her desk was always so well organized at the end of the work day, it almost shamed me. She was a private person and a self-starter.

When Kathy lived in Cambridge MA we saw a lot of her. She was married to David Oshinsky and lived near Mount Auburn Hospital. Her mother's family were famous musicians and played all over the world. We were very close growing up as a family in the Bronx. Ee will.miss her.

Single Memorial Tree

I am saddened to hear of Katherine's passing. She was a remarkable woman - a brilliant mind, curious intellect, with a dry wit and kindness about her. I enjoyed our time working together at IEEE for the Solid-State Circuit Society. Condolences to her family, whom I know she was so proud of and adored. May she rest in peace.

I especially respected Katherine´s intellect and her humility. A gem of a person.
