Not sure what to say?

Kitty´s vitality and joy for life stand out in my memories of working with her and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society´s local board.

Deeply saddened by her passing. She had incredible spirit and positive attitude. My thoughts remain with her family

Kitty is special-a bright shining star. I will always be inspired by her.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kitty. She was one of the nicest persons I have ever met. I had the honor of being friends with her in High School. There never was a day that I can remember that she wasn't smiling and just making anyone she was around feel better. My heart goes out to her and her family. She will be missed so much. She will forever be in our hearts and always loved. God Bless You Kitty.

I never met Kitty as I am an employee at Providence Newberg Medical Center. I applaud her courage and excellent example. My deepest condolences to her entire family. Blessing to each and every one of them.-- Elaine Silvers

So sorry to read this news. My husband and I participated in the 100-mile bike ride for Team in Training almost 10 years ago where our leukemia honored teammate was Emily. We were so proud of Emily. After completing our ride, we continued to follow Kitty's blog about Emily's journey and so, while Kitty would not remember us, we remembered her and the strength and love she showed her children.

I was so sorry to hear about Kitty's passing. She was one of the nicest girls in High School. She had endless gumption and determination to make the most out of life. She was kind to everyone and it pains me to think she left this world do young. My heart is with her family.

My heart was saddened to hear of the passing of Kitty. My fondest memory of Kitty was not related to all of the times we sat together in meetings at Providence strategizing improvements. But of one very special evening when we were both attending an EPIC planning meeting in Renton. It was the evening after a very long day and we sat in the hotel lounge enjoying a wonderful glass of red wine. It wasn't a planned or scheduled meeting, but a time for two souls to connect. We actually sat there...

I'm one of the many "cancer moms" who's benefited from the beautiful setting and compassionate care at the Providence Breast Center that's part of Kitty Powell's legacy. God bless her for the work she did. I hope her family finds peace.
