Katherine Campbell "Kitty" Proffitt

PROFFITT, Katherine Campbell "Kitty", 74, of Midlothian, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Charles L. "Al" Proffitt; her children, Larry Wayne Ledford and his wife, Linda, of Cartersville, Debbie Megill of Augusta, Maine, and Angela Turnbow and her husband, Dugan, of Alpharetta, Ga.; her mother, Lucy May Campbell; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; her brothers, Austin, James, John, and Ronnie Campbell; and a brother-in-law, Vernon King. Kitty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and good friend to all who knew her. A gathering of family and friends will be held 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at Bliley's - Chippenham, 6900 Hull Street Road, where funeral services will be held 12 noon Saturday. Interment Dale Memorial Park.
