The pleasure of her company, is the thought that comes to mind when remembering my times with Aunt Kay. The twinkle in her eye, ready laughter and intelligent curiosity made time spent with her a pleasure. I am grateful for the interest she showed in my life.
Years ago, at one of my crossroads, I spent an afternoon with Kay and Karl in their home by the lake. After the usual charming interrogation about my wanderings, they got around to “what next?” I described some alternatives. ...

I will always have fond memories of my Great Aunt Kay...I really only saw her while on visits up north to Good Hart to visit my grandparents but I will always remember sitting on her bench watching sunsets. How she always went for a swim with her goggles and swim cap in Lake Michigan- it seemed like everyday! Her dogs would always join us on walks around the area and the beach and we would drop them off back at her cabin when we were finished. The picture my father Gordon mentioned with the...

Memories of Aunt Kay: When I was a teen I would spend winter months with Kay and Karl on the Lake. Upon my first arrival she informed me that she would take care of me but I would have to do my own ironing. So I learned to iron under her expert tutoring...a skill I still command. I remember the wonderful aroma of spice donuts she would make at Christmas time for delivery to friends and family. She kindly nursed me during the only migranes I had during my life. Kay and Karl told my parents...
