This is mostly for you, Kitsy. Hard to believe that you have been a wonderful part of our family before I was even invented. Kitsy was a wonderful support and entertained her daughter Margaret and me with wonderful tales and food during our time in Charleston. She was kind and I have many fond memories of her and the family. She will be missed in all her glory.
Love to the family

My father, Sgt. Nick Maxim, was Col. Van Deusen's driver on Dec 7th, 1941, when Pearl Harbor was attacked. On many occasions, Dad would drive Kitsy and her friends to various places on the island. He always spoke highly of her, and the Van Deusen family, and the Col. and he stayed in contact up until his passing.
The Maxim family is sorry to hear of Kitsy's passing, as another member of that generation is lost to us all.
