Katherine Williams was born on Monday October 21, 1946 in New Orleans, La to Ola Bell and Jimmie Williams.
Katherine was preceded in death by her daughters Emelda Martin and Shalonda Williams; her parents Ola Bell and Joseph Franklin and Jimmie and Betty Williams, two sisters Mary Kirkwood and Carol Austin, one brother Michael Brown, and two grandchildren Porcha and Miquel Williams.
She attended Rosenwald Elementary School in New Orleans and graduated in 1967.
Accepting Jesus Christ into her life at an early age Katherine joined Stronger Hope Baptist Church in New Orleans, La. She enjoyed drawing and word puzzles.
In 1969, Katherine moved to Chicago, Il where she worked at Furnace Electric for three years, before returning back home and began working at Charity Hospital where she retired.
On November 1, 2023 in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones, Katherine went home to be with Our Lord and Saviour.
Missing her physical absence will be her children Shantel Williams and Anthony (Mila) Williams; her siblings Jimmy (Kathy), Brian, and Anthony (Pam) Williams, Brenda (Aaron) Bernard, Daisy Shelton and Bettie Malone, 10 grandchildren, Seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
