Such a bright and kind person! Kathi and I were schoolmates from elementary school through John Marshall. Good-humored, gentle, really quite adorable. As kids, my twin brother Mark and I both had crushes on her. (A rare point of contention). She was deemed a "gifted" student and was enrolled in Nathaniel Hawthorne´s "Major Work" program. (Does any other gifted program anywhere in the world use that odd title.). All her life she showed intelligence, humility, and a sweet playfulness. ...

I'm shocked! I'm a childhood friend of Kathi's. I think of her often with such warm, positive, and fun memories..... I love her so much! We always played hopscotch on the cement up to her front porch. The main part was drawing the 'home' part of the game.... she was an amazing detailed artist! The last day before I moved to AZ I rode my bike over to her house but on the way I hit a stone and flipped off my bike. Limping to her house and after cleaning up my knee we played bat-mitten with me...

Kathi and I were good friends in high school. She was always happy, smiling and funny. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family and loved ones.
