Not sure what to say?

I met Kate in the condos in Tavernier and really enjoyed knowing her. My sincere sympathy to Bart and the family. Heaven gained an angle. Lynne Kamke

Kathie Johnson was a great influence in my life! I had her as a high school english teacher and also considered her a friend! She was fun loving and wise and guided us through our teen years with wisdom and humour! Sad to hear of her passing - a great woman. Peace to her family and loved ones.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Praying for peace for all of you during this difficult time. Love, Rayanna

Hugs to Ms. Johnsons family. I was a student &church family member of hers. Her demeanor was so cool. My fond memory is her cup of coffee she carried in class. She was always at the sport events. Fly high Ms. Johnson

Ms. Johnson was one of my favorite teachers in school. She made learning fun. You could be walking down the hall by her class and all of a sudden you would see chalk or an eraser come flying out of her class room with a laugh and a I did not do it she was a super teacher. I feel privileged that I got to have her for a teacher. So sorry for your loss

Ms. Johnson was one of the best teachers I have had. Her standards were high and her reputation as a "tough" teacher at Wayland is legendary. Ms. Johnson's love of art and literature was infectious and inspiring. I was privileged to be her student. If I had only known she was in Otsego these past years I would have made a point of getting to know her as a friend as well. My condolences to her family and friends, she was a treasure.

Kathie Amanda was an amazing teacher, colleague, and friend. We had many laughs and shed more than a few tears together on our carpool rides to and from Wayland High School. She was always willing to listen, offer advice, and words of encouragement. Kathie was quick to share flowers and recipes. I´m so grateful to have known her. Melissa (Howell) Ernstes

Ms. Johnson by far was the best teacher, I loved her classes. She is the one who made me fall in love with reading and that's never ended. English became my favorite class. She was definitely a treasure. Lisa Idema class of 91

First, my sincere condolences to Ms. Johnson´s family and friends. She was my high school English teacher all 4 years. I loved her style of teaching. She made it fun and exciting, even though I was caught many times passing notes or talking too much in class. She was simply amazing. I always talk about her being my favorite teacher, to this day. She will be greatly missed. Heaven gained a great one. Class of 1990
