CLARK, Kathleen (Thora) - Of Flint, age 86, died Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday, July 21, 2003 at First Wesleyan Church, 3825 Davison Road in Flint, Reverend Dale Freed officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make contributions to First Wesleyan Church Memorial Fund. Visitation 12-4 and 6-8PM Saturday and Sunday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Thora will be at the church from 12Noon Monday until the time of the service. She was born in Flint, Michigan on March 15, 1917 and was a resident of the Flint area all of her life. She married Ivan W. Clark on March 21, 1939 in Flint. Thora was a member of the Missionary Society at church and served as church secretary for many years. She was involved in all committees at the church. Thora was a charter member of First Wesleyan Church. Thora was a very caring and giving person, giving to such organizations as The Salvation Army, Carriage Town Ministries and other charities. Thora cherished time spent with her family. She was a unique individual whom impacted the lives of everyone she touched. Surviving are daughter, J. Diane Duker-Pilon and husband Thomas C. Pilon; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly, Michelle and fiance' William James, David, Daniel and fiancee' Lisa Nordstrom; 4 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Ty, Zachariah and Dylan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan, in January, 1996; sister, Janet Woodcock; brother, Melvin (Duke) Lemin and parents. Thora will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
