Not sure what to say?

I first met Kathy at BLS in the teachers' room on the second floor near the English book room. We hit it off instantly. She was the most authentic person on the faculty, why so many turned to her when in trouble. Delivering her eulogy at St. Teresa's Church in West Roxbury was one of the greatest honors of my life. I loved her from the moment I spoke to her, and I still miss her terribly. Rest In Peace, Kathy. Robert Waldron

Kathleen and I talked a great deal and about her attending school. We also talked about her possibilites along with perhaps being a nurse. I'm an RN and also a former Boston Public School Teacher. We talked a great deal about her dream of a career change. Kathleen was a completely devoted person to what ever she did. I am devasted by her loss. I'm writing from a military base in Turkey. I work here as a nurse for the Department of Defense. We talked so much.... I have much to think about. She...

Ms. Devin seemed so calm all the time that it was hard to believe she cared so much, but she did. I remember the annex when we would have her 7th period and she would leave early and say "Shut the lights off behind you, kids." She is due credit for much of the only latin i ever learned. Deeply sorry for the loss.

My condolences to Kathy's family and friends. I sat next to, or beside, or behind, Kathy for many of those six years as a fellow GLS/BLA classmate. Though I left Boston many years ago, I still have many fond, vivid memories of her. She often made me laugh and prompted me not to take life so seriously. She will be greatly missed.

The BLS Class of 2007 would like to extend its deepest sympathy to the family of Ms. Devin. Our class was very close with Ms. Devin because every year since sixie year there were always some of us who have had her as our teacher. However, Ms. Devin was not only a teacher to us, but she was a friend as well. She truly cared about us and she will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May you rest in peace, Ms. Devin. We love you.

kathy was a woman of dignity and honor who had the wonderful ability to quietly go about her world sharing God's grace with those who took the time to enjoy her serene company. it is said that when our assignment here is over we get to go home. so we'll see you at home. karen and brian murray

Rest in Peace Kathy.

Ms. Devin was my 9th grade Latin teacher. I don't remember much about the class as it was 8 years ago, but I do remember Ms. Devin explaining our translations in ways that would make sense to a group of 14-15 year olds. Direct translations often sound like broken 18th Century English, so bringing some relevance to our work was greatly appreciated.
I received word of her death via an email from a friend/classmate, so I am sure that the thoughts of many students from the Class of 2000...
