Katie has been on my mind so much recently, as I approach my 20th anniversary of breast cancer diagnosis. The compassion she shared and the lessons she taught me back then saw me through another, unrelated cancer just three years ago... and they continue to help guide me through this loooooong, emotionally challenging pandemic. Heartfelt condolences to Katie's family. My heart goes out to you and I share your loss. Katie had a marvelous gift for helping people and a beautiful spirit. She will be missed by so many including me. With deepest sympathy.

Katie was a dear friend and colleague of mine at Providence for 29 yrs. We shared our love of cancer counseling, good food, and our children/grand-children over the course of many years. We were so looking forward to retirement and sharing more long walks, good food, and talks. Unfortunately, time was cut short. My condolences to her children, their spouses, and her darling grand-children....whom I know she loved very much, and will continue to watch-over from above.

Katie was there for me when my darling Dina was diagnosed with cancer at age 13. She was alway so supportive and comforting. Now she shares the obituary page with Dina. Godspead beautiful women.
