Kathleen A. Manzi (Donahue), age 57, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at her home, where she lived for 30 years, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 17, 1961 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Kathy attended St. Timothy Catholic Grade School and went on to graduate high school from Saint Hubert Catholic High School for Girls. Kathy had a fulfilling career in the insurance industry at Mather and Company for 30 years. On July 1, 1989, she married Shawn J. Manzi. Together they had two daughters, Lauren and Chloe Manzi, a son Vincent Manzi, and a beloved dog Koda. Kathy’s special interests and hobbies included spending time with her family, frequently getting together with her friends, and vacationing at North Wildwood, New Jersey. In December of 2015, Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went on to battle for four long years, while still being there for her family, especially her children. She is the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Agnes Donahue and the daughter in law to Joanne Manzi and the late Patrick Manzi. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 30 years, Shawn, daughters Lauren and Chloe, son Vincent, siblings Arleen Edwards, Patricia (Daniel) Dreeman, Robert Donahue, Gary (Cheryl) Manzi, Patrick (Cathy) Manzi, Brian (Anne) Manzi, Gigi (Bill) Stunder, and the late Kevin Manzi. Kathy will forever be known for her fighter mentality and her determination to care for the ones she loved. The Manzi Family would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff, nurses, and doctors, who crossed Kathy’s path, for their attentiveness and loving care.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Sunday evening April 14th ,2019 5:30pm at THE EDWARD J. PETNER FUNERAL HOME(family owned and operated). THERE WILL BE NO VIEWING MONDAY MORNING. Friends are invited to gather at St. Timothy Church 3001 Levick St. Phila.,Pa. 19149Church Monday at 10:15am for a 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society.
