Pietszak Funeral Home - Cheektowaga Obituary

Throughout her life, she brought warmth and love to those around her, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph Kotowski, Jr., and together they built a life filled with love and dedication. Kathleen was a devoted mother to Joseph Kotowski, III, Richard (Paula) Kotowski, Jennifer (Dale George) Kotowski, and Christopher Kotowski. Her nurturing spirit and endless support were also shared with her grandchildren, Katie, James, Rachel, Riley and Gavin, whom she adored.

As a sister, Kathleen was the dearest sibling to Patricia (late David) Szymonek, Edward (Peggy) Suflita Jr., Deborah (late Gregory) Harezga, and Anthony Suflita. She was predeceased by her sisters Theresa Songer, Lorraine (late Ray) Glanowski, Elizabeth Suflita, Sister Mary Deborah Suflita, CSSF, and brothers Peter and Paul (Joan Kirchofer) Suflita. Her role as a fond godmother to Nicholas Harezga and Thomas Songer further exemplified her caring nature.

Kathleen's professional life saw her contributing her skills as an accountant at UB Family Medicine, where she was respected and appreciated for her diligence and commitment.

Her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends remember Kathleen as a pillar of kindness and generosity. Kathleen's warmth and love will be remembered by all who knew her.

Family will be present on Sunday, August 17th from 12-4 PM at the PIETSZAK FUNERAL HOME, 2400 William St., near Harlem Road.

Relatives and friends are invited to assemble for a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Martyrs Church, 180 George Urban Blvd. on Monday morning at 10 AM. Please assemble at the Church.

We invite you to honor her memory by sharing a picture in our online Photo Album or a favorite memory in our Guest Book on the Tribute page. Through these memories, Kathleen's enduring spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.

In remembrance of Kathleen, memorial contributions may be made to the Felician Sisters, 600 Doat Street, Cheektowaga, NY 14211.

Not sure what to say?

Kathy was a kind, loving person who was always positive and happy. She loved the Buffalo Bills! I will miss her very much. I thank the family for donations sent to the Felician Sisters.
God Bless you all!

I will miss you and all our fun times together throughout our years of friendship. Heaven welcomed a beautiful angel.love you my friend

Kathy was a wonderful sister-in-law and Auntie. I will always remember her warmth and humor. Our game nights with the family were hilarious, as was her tenacity playing Rummikub! Although physical distance kept us from being together as often, she would still keep in touch with a Birthday or Christmas card. Her passion for the Bills and the good times we had watching games was always an adventure, despite the outcome of the game.
Kathy will be missed, but never forgotten.

So sorry to hear of KK passing . She was a wonderful person. A kind and caring person. I remember walking in to the ECMC office to sign my paperwork not knowing where I was going. She made me feel so calm and welcoming and happy to be part of the UB Family Medicine Team . RIP Kathy, you will be missed and Go Bills ! The football season will not be the same without KK emails.

I am sad to hear of Kathy’s (KK) passing. We worked together for many years and became friends. She was the most kind hearted person I’ve known. She would help anyone in any way. She would always look at the positive side of situations. She kept me grounded. I can’t think of the Buffalo Bills, March Madness or slots and not think of KK.
I’m sure she will win big in Heaven.
Love you KK!

I am at a loss for words! My heart is so sad. KK was a true friend! She has a heart of gold. You are soo loved and will be deeply missed. I’m going to miss those phone calls reminding me about my squares or just a late night chat!

Kathy was a dear friend and we shared many good times together. I will always remember Halloween and the children coming over to Trick N Treat in my neighborhood. Kathy loved the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. She got me hooked on hockey.
Kathy worked for UB Family Medicine. She was my assistant and handled numerous
administrative and accounting functions.
She was a loyal and trusting employee.
Her smile was infectious. Kathy will always be close to my heart.

Kathy was a wonderful worker who always had a smile and often a quick joke to tell. She was a pillar for UB Family Medicine.

I worked with “KK” for many years. She was the best person to work with. She was always helpful and kind, calm in many storms, and truly a department superstar. She will be missed.
